Fauresmith has four schools.  Two are primary schools and there are also two secondary schools.

Primary schools:

Vooruitzicht - grade one to seven

Skynkaroo College (private school) - grade one to seven

Secondary schools:

Skynkaroo College for Christian Education was inaugurated in 1998.  The school is run as a section 21 company, and started from humble beginnings at the Fauresmith agricultural grounds, with 3 teachers and 40 children.

Today the school boasts 62 children and 5 teachers.  The school also has its own buildings.  The high academic standard includes computer literacy in the school's computer centre.

The communities of Jagersfontein and Fauresmith supports the school to such a degree that the farmers of the district donated a hundred sheep to the school to start their own farming project.

The vision of the school is to broaden the children's horizon and therefore the motto of the school is "Verbreed jou Visie" - which can be translated as "broaden your vision".
